Fontnest, formed in March 2002, was formerly a permanent typographer’s collective launched by Jérôme Rigaud (electronest.com, r-echos.net, textasplayground.net) in Lausanne, Switzerland. The group (consisting out of graphic designers and type enthusiasts from different countries in general, and Switzerland in special) met informally and developed several display and text typefaces.
The upcoming fontnest project is directed by founding member Jérôme Rigaud and his partner Pierre Schmidt (electronest.com), UK along with Christian Bordeaux (christianbordeaux.com), Germany.
The first generation Fontnest members were: Thomas, Mathias, Emilie, Jacques, Fabian, Ivan, Sylvain. Second generation, added to the original crew, the following: Jacques and Harry, Bertrand and Christian. We are now welcoming the third generation: welcome!
