1. Embroideries & Typography

posted earlier on None this afternoon; my sister and I made an experiment with her embroidery machine plugged on an old pc and printed the Futura Domus typeface. It works quite nicely… check the picture below; the typeface: Futura Domus has been released on Fontnest a few weeks ago after being featured in Domus back in september 2008.

  3. ‘A book shut …’ posters arrived!

    * Amandine’s recent typographic experiment turned into a A1 poster just arrived. She is really happy – they arrived a little bit late for the opening of the exhibition but quite magically the posters will be sold in a couple of bookshops (list to follow soon) and also on SuperMarketo.

** thanks Jak to pointing us to the printer

  7. O’clock

    O’clock

Nadine Grenier, a student at ESAD Strasbourg, made this kinetic installation called “O’clock”. It is made with 500 clocksworks and every 12 hours you can read this sentence: “le temps passe, et chaque fois qu’il y a du temps passe, il y a quelque chose qui s’efface”. This is a quote from Jules Romains, a French poet, which roughly translates in “Time passes, and every time the time passes, there is something that fades”.
